This interview is about a person who I personally admire and respect deeply. She is the person who gave me life, who taught me a lot of things and has veen a model to follow due to her hardwork and perseverance. She is my mother.
Interviewer: So please tekk us your name and what you are currently doing?
Mireya: My name is Mireya Villagra Aguilera and I´m studying at Universidad Bolivariana to become a Social Worker, to help all the people who may need help in my country.
Interviewer: How old are you?
Mireya: I´m fifty four years old.
Interviewer: Have your age been an obstacle for your studies?
Mireya: I believe that is never too late for learning new things, just look at my example, but I have to say that the age itself has not been a problem.
Interviewer: So besides studying what other activities have you being doing lately?
Mireya: I´m the owner of a store where me and my husband sell clothes , I´m also an active member of the Communist Party in Chillan and the last week I became a grandmother.
Interviewer: That´s really nice. Congratulations! so fou must be really happy for the birth of your grandaughter.
Mireya: Yes I am. This baby has required a lot of my time also, and it has been harder for me to study. But since the first year I started college it has always been the same. I have to deal with a lot of problems and at the same time, give my best in college.
Interviewer: I guess it´s been hard. So tell me how good have you done in college.
Mireya: I´m the top student of my class.
Interviewer: Wie that´s awesome, and tell us, what is your secret?
Mireya: Well, I have to say that besides hard work, obviusly, I´m a very good reader, I have read books my whole life, I read Cien aƱos de soledad when I was only 13 and I´ve never stopped reading ever since.
Interviewer: So I guess you were a great student in school, weren´t you?
Mireya: Yes, I was but actually, I finished highschool just a four years agoo through a government program, since I did really well there I tried to continue studying and so far, I´ve done pretty well.
Interviewer: And how about your son Pablo, is he a good student as you are?
Mireya: Well I wish I could say so, sadly he is very lazy, he could do a lot better than he does but anyway he´s not doing so bad so far. I just hope to he start spending more time studying instead of playing that stupid guitar, so in that way he can get better grades.
Interviewer: Haha, yes mom, I´ll improve my grades, at least I´ll try. Well thanks for the intervew I hope that my theacher like it.
Mireya: Anytime you want Pablo, it´s been a pleasure.
